READY TO RUN, OUT OF THE BOX!

A combination of circumstances and the opportunity raised by meeting and working with Enda Byrne of CK Prints, means that we can now offer some of our famous kits as ready run wagons.

Realising that most modellers like to choose their own couplings, these wagons will be sold painted, lettered, but without couplings (we can supply our previous “Dapol Tension Lock” couplings at cost – just ask!

To start the ball rolling, our GNR 6 Ton Cattle wagon, as built around the early 1900s to Diagram 20, but as they were after the side planking was changed in the 1930s. Cattle traffic was good business for the GNR, most cattle were exported via Belfast.

This is the wagon, before the addition of lettering.

We have also produced the Sligo Leitrim and Northern Counties cattle wagon. I think that these are fairly similar vintage and were often seen running with the GNR wagons on livestock trains originating from the SLNCR. I think that they have a nice archaic look about them?
